Since developing the "New Skin Needle" procedure, optimized for treating pitted scars, in 2006, Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic has expanded from its Gangnam main branch to operate as a network of eight clinics with a total of eight branches. The Gangnam main branch focuses on treating pitted scars, performing over 500 procedures per month and having conducted approximately 60,000 procedures to date. In addition to its signature New Skin Needle procedure, the clinic also offers thread lifting, cosmetic acupuncture, various skin care treatments, and weight loss programs. Starting in 2019, when COVID-19 first emerged, the clinic gradually expanded its scope by providing non-face-to-face prescriptions for diet medication to local Japanese patients. As the pandemic gradually eased and the number of Japanese visitors entering Korea increased, the number of Japanese patients seeking in-clinic care rose significantly through online promotions via Japanese agencies and interpretation support from Japanese interpreters. Currently, the demand from Japanese patients visiting for scar treatment remains consistently high (an average of over 3 visitors per day). Furthermore, since signing a contract with a company that attracts Chinese patients, we have been striving to consistently produce content and are actively pursuing the recruitment of Chinese patients. In addition, we are conducting marketing using our own content to attract English-speaking foreign patients, and demand is gradually increasing.
